What have you to fear?

Isaiah 41:10&13 “10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 13 For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” I love that image, God taking you and me by the hand. What is it that is causing you to be anxious? God is walking with you hand and hand through the storm. I was talking to a friend yesterday about his son who overcame cancer. I shared a moment his son and I shared together. We were standing in the lobby talking about what we had experienced on this journey of cancer. I spoke these words to him, “What a gift of faith God has given you. What would you ever fear now that with God’s help you have overcome the worst the world can throw at you!” He smiled and we laughed together. When you face the trial, remember that he has brought you this far and he will continue to lead you. Go in the peace and grace of God knowing he leads you by hand.
